Propolis is a natural product made by bees that extract resin from the buds and barks of certain trees (fir, birch, maple, poplar, chestnut, eucalyptus, pine, willow, etc.). It is usually made up of resins, beeswax, essential oils and pollen.
Crude propolis is a sticky substance similar to hardened glue with a strong acid smell and dark colour to which multiple virtues are attributed, such as food supplement, defence stimulant, tissue regenerator, anti-rheumatic, anti-inflammatory, healing, antiviral, bactericidal and fungicidal agent.
